KLETT PUBLISHING DIDACTA
Lighting design for the Klett-Verlag exhibition stand at Didacta 2006–2019 – Natural light as a design element
For the Klett publishing house's booth at the Didacta education fair, we spent many years planning a sophisticated lighting concept that specifically leverages the effects of natural sunlight. The combination of neutral white ambient light and warm white accents creates a lively yet focused atmosphere—ideal for in-depth technical discussions, focused work, and open exchange with visitors.
Neutral white light represents clarity, objectivity, and orientation – it creates a calm, structured foundation. Warm white accents, in turn, promote attention, concentration, and well-being – for both employees and guests. This targeted lighting effect noticeably increases the quality of time spent at the trade fair stand – without causing visual fatigue, despite the high demands of the trade fair.
The deliberate interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of spatial depth that is stimulating and contributes to mental alertness. Especially in the dense atmosphere of an education fair, this lighting design supports a pleasant, inspiring environment that is both communicative and functionally compelling.
