BAUHAUS MUSEUM WEIMAR

Light for an icon of modernity

To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus, the Bauhaus Museum in Weimar was rebuilt as a central place for commemoration and exploration of modernism. Over 536 architectural firms from around the world participated in the international competition; the design by the Berlin-based firm Atelier Heike Hanada was realized.

For this extraordinary project, we not only developed the entire lighting concept, but also customized lighting systems – tailored to the architectural specifications, conservation requirements, and museum use.

The lighting concept combines functional clarity with atmospheric depth. Accentuated object lighting, zoned room lighting levels, and our specially developed luminaires create a sophisticated, calm, and precise lighting atmosphere – in the spirit of the Bauhaus philosophy: technically sophisticated, minimalist in design, and sustainably implemented.
